Microsoft Edge gets a silly update that procrastinating and weather wear will love

It is a little known fact that Microsoft Edge has a built-in tool designed specifically for hardcore owners and time wear between us, called surf.

The browser’s game, which challenges players to navigate as large as possible, the possible distance without colliding with obstacles or Cayer dam of a marine monster, has received a lot of updates with the latest early access edge version.

According to William Devereux, Senior Edge Program Manager, Surf now has a new set of obstacles, a simplified character selection menu, a way of sharing scores with friends, as well as a series of error corrections that improve performance.

Although the last iteration is currently available to the members of the early access program, through the Canary Canary, users of all edges can play simply by typing “Edge: // surfing” in the URL bar.

Inspired by the 1991 Classic Skifree, Edge Surfboard continues an honorable tradition initiated by Google with Dino Run, a side scroll platform on the rails, as long as Chrome loses an Internet connection.

In a flagrant act of a single plant, Microsoft has taken the concept of a hidden browser game to a new surf level, which has multiple playable characters, charm pixel art and an ignition system.

The game also has three different game modes: endless, time test and zig zag, and can be controlled through the keyboard, mouse, touch and, incredibly controller, Xbox or PlayStation.

“Surf as far as possible in an endless ocean, compete for shorter time, or Zig Zag through as many doors as you can in a row,” reads the official propaganda. “Who knows? There could even be some secrets that expect to be found.”

The last surf update will undoubtedly leave users to ask a question: is this the sand in which the browser’s wars will finally be decided?
