The iPad Pro M1 durability test ends with a wrinkle

The iPad Pro of 12.9 inches this year can be the most revolutionary applet tablet since the company presented for the first time the iPad Pro line. Now it runs on Apple’s most powerful chip and has even changed the backlit LCD screen for a backlit mini LCD. And as with anything that changes its formula, there may be some changes that have resulted in reducing the durability of the tablet. That’s what YouTuber Zack Nelson from Jerryriguerrything Fame and Infamy intend to find out, putting the iPad Pro larger to its rigorous tests.

The iPads and Nelson have not really gotten together. From the first time the iPhone 6 “BendGate” came out, YouTuber has been quite critical with Apple’s devices, especially the great ones. The iPad Pro starting in 2018 was the worst, it was easily broken by half due to some commitments in the structural integrity of the tablet. Those were introduced, says the YouTuber, through the microphone hole and the apple charging area right in the center of the blackboard, on opposite sides.

These same details are present in the new iPad Pro of 12.9 inches M1, so Nelson was understandably apprehensive about the possibilities that the giant blackboard survived. However, before reaching that point, he needed to go through the other tests, including the burden test mostly. The good news is that the iPad Pro m1 survived with an aplomb, with the screen recovering after a few seconds.

The news even better is that the tablet also survives the curve test, at least a bit. Despite the suspects of structural integrity commitments, the iPad Pro did not break. Unfortunately, he crouched permanently and retained his curved shape. The flexion of the opposite direction only caused the screen to curve and wrinkle further.

The iPad Pro at least remained functional all the way, for several definitions of “functional”. It means that the tablet will survive an accidental encounter with the back of someone, but it was not seen as the premium tablet that was once.
