Amazon will reduce AppStore fees for small developers later this year

Amazon followed in the footsteps of Apple and Google in the reduction of App Store fees for the smaller developers. The e-commerce giant announced that it would reduce the developer commission that earn less than $ 1 million a year. From the fourth quarter of this year, this will reduce its 30% to 20% reduction as part of its new Amazon AppStore accelerator program. In addition, the company gives the eligible developers AWS promotional credits amounting to 10% of their income.

Apple has introduced a new policy that lowers its commission rate from 30% to 20% in December for the smallest developers winning less than a million dollars a year. The technology giant made the shift after more and more companies were talking about having to pay a commission of 30%, with epic games leading up. He led to the Epic VS trial. Apple, in which a judge asked Tim Cook on an investigation in which 39% of his developers said they were not satisfied with the distribution of society.

Meanwhile, Google also announced in March that it reduces its role-playing commission rate to 15% by 30% as of July 1st. Given that the new policy will apply to developers who win less than one million income a year, Google said 99% of Android developers will benefit from change.

As AFTVNews said, Amazon will always take a larger reduction than Apple and Google. However, developers could have a better deal with the company if they already spend more than 10% of their income on AWS fees.
