Health and Fitness Startup Cult.Fit has acquired Bengaluru-based Fitness Startup in an effort to launch a smart fitness hardware product suite, starting with smart bikes and benches. Tapak, for notes, recently launched a smart fitness bike. Smart bikes will now be sold on the Ceafit platform and offline stores.
Cash and the stock agreement is said to be worth $ 32 million.
It must also be demonstrated that the digital system, a 100% subsidiary of Tata Sons, earlier this week announced an investment of up to $ 75 million in healing.
Tata Group, a newcomer for the internet economy, is in the acquisition and running investment, taking the biggest Bigbasket E-Grocer of India and 1mg online pharmacy this week.
The site will function independently
Cult.Fit has launched AT-home digital fitness last year, and among others, it offers a direct training class on the application. Because it provides computer vision technology applications to exercise at home, in one step to complete the offer, Cult.Fit is now entered into smart hardware products. The sitting acquisition is a step in that direction.
Tapak, which will continue to function independently, has developed a fitness bicycle connected in a room similar to peloton but at a third price.
Cult.Fit will also help step on the technology, customer range, and offline distribution.
Mukesh Bansal, Founder, Cult.Fit, said: “Acquisition of Tapak is a leap. With their team, we plan to offer a unique product suite that will help us check into the fitness hardware market at home and further distinguish the cult platform of others In the fitness industry. “
Dinesh Godara, founder, stepping on: “We launch a series of cardio products and connected fitness power. One tread, smart exercise bikes are our first product that will be followed by heavy products and digital resistance, and smart home gym kits.”
Smart bikes are interactive, and when you pedal, you will exercise with other people who paddle on the same route at the same time. The instructor will be able to see your data and metrics.
When the fitness center is usually closed in India for more than a year now (due to locking), Cult.Fit is seeing his new acquisition to restore customers.
